Sr. Bowl Podcast: Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal
Played in 50 of 51 possible games and made 32 starts at Cal from 2007-10 … an honorable mention All-American (Pro Football Weekly) and first-team All-Pac-10 choice as a senior in 2010 after two consecutive honorable mention All-Pac-10 campaigns in 2008 and 2009. Scout’s Notebook: East-West Shrine Game
EAST-WEST SHRINE PLAYER REVIEW
The 2011 version of the East-West Shrine game featured some dominant performances on the part of the East’s defensive line, as well as some fine play at the running back position. However, the level of talent at quarterback wasn’t up to par and no one wide receiver distinguished himself, as a result. Here are some random observations about the participants in the annual prospect showcase.
QUARTERBACKS
None of the quarterbacks managed to stand to stand out. Pat Devlin is the one who most closely resembled an NFL starter…but even he had his flaws. For one, he was off the mark on a number of his throws.
He placed it way high for tight end Greg Smith on a two-yard play-action toss that the target was able to haul in, but might have been able to gain more yardage

2011 East-West Shrine Game Recap
ORLANDO, Fla. — Marvin Austin kept mostly a low profile in the practice sessions leading up to the East-West Shrine Game.
After sitting out this past season following his involvement in the agent scandal that rocked North Carolina’s football program, he had a lot to prove Saturday in the annual showcase for college seniors.
So grabbing a late-game fumble recovery for a touchdown to punctuate a 25-8 victory for the East over the West more than made his week in Orlando worthwhile.
“I sat the whole season out. Everybody knows it,” Austin said. “People thought I was going to feel sorry for myself. A lot of people talk about my talent. They don’t see the work I put in to try to be the best. They (the NFL) say they just want me to be confident and keep playing hard.”
