Playing on the opposite side one of the nation’s top three or four cornerbacks does have its perks, but in the case of Colorado’s Jalil Brown, it has also been the reason behind why he’s arguably the most overlooked cornerback in next week’s draft.
While partner-in-crime Jimmy Smith garnered most of the attention for his freakish athletic qualities, the diligent Phoenix native never veered from his quest to become a top cover man in his own right.
By putting in extra time in the film room and constantly perfecting his technique, Brown soon gained the attention of opposing offenses that would soon have two defenders they needed to stay away from.
