Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino has issued a clarification on why Ryan Mallett will miss the Manning Passing Academy this summer, according to ArkansasSports360.com.
Mallett has a conflict with class and also does not need to miss a week of rehab for his surgically-repaired left foot. That clarification jibes with what Archie Manning told ESPN.com about Mallett being unable to attend.
Mallett, who is recovering after having a screw replaced in his surgically repaired left foot in February, was scheduled to serve as a counselor at the high school camp, which features players and coaches from college and the pros. It’s set for July 8-11 at Nichols State in Thibodaux, La.
