Mandel’s Take: This trade made too much sense for both teams for it not to happen. Minnesota is a win-now team that lost their primary receiving option before the season started. Without Sidney Rice, Brett Favre and the offense were clearly floundering. Moss now gives the ol’ gunslinger the #1 target he needs, and Moss gets the on-field attention that he so clearly desires. New England, unlike most professional sports teams, understands long-term thinking.
