LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky football team will have its first major scrimmage of 2010 spring practice Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium.
The warm-up period begins at 1 p.m., followed by a scrimmage of unspecified length. It is the last open practice of the spring until the Blue/White Game on April 24.
“There was a lot of energy here today,” Joker Phillips said after Friday morning’s practice. “There needs to be a lot of energy tomorrow, too, because we have to see a lot of young kids getting reps (repetitions). This is an important scrimmage for a lot of young kids to see where they are.
“There’s an important battle going on, if you guys don’t know it, at quarterback. (Laughter from media) Those guys have to have a good scrimmage, too. All of them threw the ball well
