- CB – One of the key cogs on the Atlanta defense a year ago was Brent Grimes, who played extremely well opposite free agent acquisition Dunta Robinson. The talented tag-team forms a solid 1-2 punch at the cornerback position but the first order of business needs to be re-signing Grimes, who is an unrestricted free agent. Robinson was actually burned on a few occasions but is still regarded as a premier corner. The same can not be said for backups Chris Owens or Brian Williams. A dependable nickel back and better depth is a major need.
- OG – The Falcons will likely choose to use their franchise tag on tackle Tyson Clabo, leaving them vulnerable to the possibility of losing starting guards Justin Blaylock and Harvey Dahl,
