Greg Jones and the Michigan State defense proved they are one of the best in the Big Ten Saturday as they held Wisconsin’s offense under 300 total yards for the day. Jones was all over the field against the Badgers, leading his team with eight tackles on the day, three of which were for a loss. His play inspired the Spartan defense to make big stops throughout the game. If you love offense, then this was your game. Featuring two of the top offenses in the nation, not to mention two of the top quarterbacks in the nation, these two teams combined for 83 points and over 1,100 yards of total offense. Both Andrew Luck and Darron Thomas played as advertised, but it was LaMichael James who stole the show with 257 yards and three touchdowns. The defenses weren’t much of a factor in this offensive explosion, so the main focus fell on the offense of both teams. Here are the highlights and lowlights from some of the players…

Darron Thomas may be one of the more underrated runners at the quarterback position. On the very first play from scrimmage he kept an option and went virtually untouched for a 22-yard
