Who Needs Mark Ingram?

It would be foolish to think Mark Ingram wouldn’t be missed if he were out for an extended time, but how many programs can replace a Heisman Trophy winner with someone every bit as talented? That is exactly what true sophomore Trent Richardson is…every bit

Rookie LB Tears Up Knee in Practice

Rookie linebacker Josh Hull suffered a season ending knee injury during Wednesday’s practice, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Hull tore ligaments in his knee on a non-contact play. He was the Rams second linebacker to be lost in the last week and it left the team with only four healthy linebackers. To fill Hull’s void the club moved newly signed fullback Brit Miller to the linebacking corp and also signed Bryan Kehl off waivers. Both players are expected to be used primary on special teams.

Mancini’s Take: This is a rough blow for both Hull and the Rams. But Hull has done nothing but defy the odds since his college days when

Scout’s Notebook:  Georgia@South Carolina

The following is a player analysis of the South Carolina Gamecocks during their impressive 17-6 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs in Week Two of the college football season.

Unlike a lot of his past Florida teams, coach Steve Spurrier’s current squad is making its mark as a physical team that’s ramming the ball down people’s throats in the ground game. His punishing defense has also chipped in by limiting opponents to 19 points so far.

Freshman wasting no time

After scoring two touchdowns in his first game against Southern Mississippi, running back Marcus Lattimore was even more scintillating in his 182-yard, two touchdown effort this past Saturday.

The rugged power runner didn’t find any creases in his first few carries, but was still able to use his instincts and fall forward to gain two yards on one play and limit the damage with a minimal loss on

The Passing Attack

Georgia had red-shirt freshman Aaron Murray at quarterback and the kid certainly has an arm. He also looks comfortable throwing on the move. However, a couple of the freshman’s passes were behind their intended target. When he squared his shoulders properly before he made a throw (after rolling out to his right), Murray was able to hit his receiver in stride. The freshman displayed an impressive arm on 55-yard completion, preceded by a good

Miami Ohio State Player Reviews

Four Jacory Harris interceptions, miscues galore and penalties killed Miami’s hopes of getting revenge for their 2002 Fiesta Bowl loss to Ohio State. Meanwhile, Terrelle Pryor had an outstanding game and the Buckeyes capitalized on every Miami turnover to negate the two special teams touchdowns by the Hurricanes. Here’s a look at some highlights and lowlights put forth by the eye-catching players in this contest.

It is no secret that Terrelle Pryor can run the ball, yet defenses seem to be unable to stop him even though they know his runs are coming.  On the fourth play
