According to ESPN’s Matt Mosley, fourth round pick Clay Harbor will eventually be the Eagle’s second tight end. Him and quarterback Kevin Kolb have had good chemistry thus far in practice and he appears to have better route running ability than fellow tight end Cornelius Ingram.
Franek’s Take: With the Eagles being such a pass-happy offense it makes sense that they would want the more polished route runner and pass-catcher to be behind Brent Celek. They have never been big on blocking tight ends so if you can’t go out and make plays as a receiver, then by default you drop to third on the depth chart, or at least it seems. Thanks to current backup Cornelius Ingram coming off ACL surgery, Harbor has been able to get extra reps and has taken full advantage of it while continuing to impress everyone who watches the small school

Two-Minute Drill: Case Keenum, Houston
College Football Insiders co-founder Daniel Mogollon goes on the two-minute drill with the Houston quarterback.
When you threw out the first pitch at the Astros game, did you throw it from the rubber?
I did throw it from the rubber.
Was it a strike?
According to all the papers it was. (Laughs)
What kind of movies do you like?
I like any and all movies. I recently saw Inception and then, for my girlfriend, I went and saw Toy Story 3.
(Laughs) I like how you threw that “for my girlfriend” in there. I saw it as well for my daughter, a little different reason. I thought it actually was a pretty good movie, what did you think?
Yeah,

Vols Ben Martin Injures Achilles
The news on Tennessee defensive end Ben Martin is not good.
“It looks like he’s going to be out for quite some time; it looks like an Achilles issue,” head coach Derek Dooley said following Friday’s afternoon workout at Haslam Field. “Anytime you lose a good player, it hurts. It hurts your team.”
Martin started 11 games last season and owns 33 career appearances. The Cincinnati native finished 2009 with 38 tackles, including 3-1/2 sacks for minus-32 yards. His three pass deflections tied for fourth on the team.
Martin played as a true freshman in 2007, so he still has a medical redshirt option for 2011.
“He’s got another year, but I’m not ready to say he’s out for the year,” Dooley said. “Let’s see what happens in rehab and see how it goes. But

Pac-10 Player Watch: Chris Polk
College Football Insiders “Pac-10 players to watch for 2010” series continues on the offensive side of the ball with Washington’s Chris Polk.
Before his arrival on campus, Chris Polk was being touted as a Reggie Bush-type of player; many wondered if Polk’s future might be at wide receiver. Unfortunately, a true-freshman season consisting of a handful of carries, an injury, and a season lost to a medical red-shirt was what followed. Expectations for the highly-touted prospect were tempered and the Bush comparisons were largely dropped.
Last season Polk got a second attempt at his freshman campaign and was able to redefine how others viewed his style of play. On a national stage in South Bend against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, Polk put on an impressive
