Baltimore native Lonnie Harvey is a big man with a big heart, he spends his spare time visiting and speaking with kids at local schools and hospitals. Harvey is also in the process of starting his own foundation to reach out to kids in the inner city of Baltimore. He is an example of someone that cares about his community and is always finding time in the off-season to give back. On the field, Harvey is a behemoth at 6’4? and 350 pounds NT for the Buffalo Bills and entered the NFL in 2009 as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers. 2011 NFL Draft Watch #40: Mike Pouncey
The countdown continues and our number forty prospect in college football is…
Center/Offensive Guard Mike Pouncey, Florida (Senior):
The Skinny: Like his twin brother Maurkice, Mike Pouncey is not only schematically versatile; he can play multiple positions along the offensive line. The interior lineman started all 14 games both as a sophomore and a junior, mostly at the right guard position, and also started on the left side last year. This season he is expected to take over at center, replacing his brother who left early for the NFL. The remaining Gator is skilled to the point that the team even used him at tackle this past spring and some of the coaches at Florida believe he can play center, guard and tackle. That would give new meaning to the term ‘jack-of-all-trades’ when it comes to scouting offensive linemen. During his two-year stint as a starter
2011 NFL Draft Watch #39: Jared Crick
The countdown continues and our number thirty-nine prospect in college football is…
Defensive Tackle Jared Crick, Nebraska (Junior):
The Skinny: The first thing that stands out about Crick is his length. At 6’5” the Cornhusker is longer than many of the top interior defensive linemen the NFL has to offer. When he steps on the field you can’t help but be impressed by his awesome penetration power, as his 9.5 sacks (15 tackles for loss) indicate. While it is true that Ndamukong Suh drew a lot of attention away from Crick, the sophomore still had to take advantage of those opportunities. He did just that, and earned himself first team All-Big XII honors along with the Heisman Trophy finalist. The fact is that Crick’s first-step quickness and use
