David Caldwell led William & Mary in tackles his sophomore (107) and junior (78) years, though his stats dipped a bit his senior year (58 tackles) as the team reached the semifinals of the NCAA Football Championship Series playoffs.
The former All-Essex County running back for Montclair High, who also went to Lawrenceville for one post-graduate year, was used mainly as a box safety for the Tribe. But he played cornerback as a freshman and was used as the nickelback matched up on slot receivers through his college career, so he is comfortable in coverage as well.
