It is no secret that Terrelle Pryor can run the ball, yet defenses seem to be unable to stop him even though they know his runs are coming.  On the fourth play of the game, Pryor took off running and gained 12 yards before being touched. Pryor was fearless while running with the ball, but he needs to be more careful with the ball and shy away from contact from time to time

Football is back…sort of. Week one is in the books, but with a few noteworthy exceptions, the quality of play was ragged and frustrating to watch. Much of that can be attributed to the players getting into actual game shape and offenses still rounding into form, but excuses tend to fall on deaf ears when your season consists of just 16 of these games. Pittsburgh Steelers Recap: Week 1

Radio: Pittsburgh Steelers Week 1 Wrap Up

The Pittsburgh Steelers went into overtime in last year’s season opener against the Tennessee Titans. The same would hold true this year, as the Atlanta Falcons would take the six-time World Champions beyond regulation. “It was a great, hard-fought win,” said Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin. “I like the way our group rode the emotional roller coaster of staying on task throughout.”

The roller coaster looked to be coming to a halt in the final minutes of the fourth quarter following Troy Polamalu’s interception of Matt Ryan on the Falcons’ 31. The pick looked to be the final nail in the Birds’ coffin…until Steelers’ kicker Jeff Reed missed the 40-yard field goal attempt wide right with just 43 ticks left on the game clock.
