Under The Radar: Bill Stull Now On The Map
A year ago Bill Stull wasn’t even sure he would be the starting quarterback as a senior at Pitt.
Tuesday, riding the momentum of an excellent season, he was running and throwing in front of NFL scouts at Pitt’s South Side football complex because he is a bona fide prospect.
That is quite a meteoric rise, but it is a testament to the hard work that Stull put in and his commitment to become an excellent college quarterback.
Now, his next step is to try to become an NFL quarterback. To that end, he has been diligently working out and refining his passing ability while showing scouts that he has the arm strength and capability to make every pass.
“I’m really just looking forward to getting an opportunity and taking the next step,” Stull said Tuesday after Pitt’s annual Pro-Day. “I am really happy with the
Florida Gators To Open Pro Day To Public; Anticipation Builds
For those who would like to see Tim Tebow perform one more time in The Swamp, this is your chance.
Tebow and more than a dozen other former Florida football players will be working out for NFL coaches and scouts today at UF’s annual Pro Day. Unlike past Pro Days, UF has announced that the public is invited to attend. Even the concession stands will be open. The players are expected to be on the field starting at around 10 a.m.
Tebow, who will be revealing his new, tighter throwing motion, probably will draw a crowd. He always does.
This is a big day for Tebow, whose throwing mechanics have been much scrutinized (and criticized) since his performance at the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30. Acknowledging that he needs to improve his throwing motion, Tebow has been working out in Nashville with former NFL quarterback
Pro Day: Armanti Edwards Transitions To Wide Out
The wiry and fast quarterback who led Appalachian State to a stunning victory at Michigan thinks he can play the position at the next level.
The U.S. college coach who won two lower-tier championships with him is even more convinced. But Armanti Edwards just wants to play in the NFL, be it quarterback, receiver or kick returner. So Edwards wasn’t going to pass up doing anything for the scouts from 10 NFL teams who attended his pro day Tuesday and watched him run the 40-yard dash in about 4.43 seconds.
Edwards threw, caught passes and even fielded punts as he eyes next month’s NFL draft.
Pro Day: Sleeper Alert – Aaron Morgan
Louisiana-Monroe pass-rusher Aaron Morgan boosted his draft stock with a solid pro day workout. He did not finish his forty-yard dash run due to a pulled hamstring. The Saints and Raiders were in attendance both of whom soke in length with Morgan.
He measured 6’4″ and 240 pounds.
