Player Spotlight: Roberto Davis, NW Missouri

MVP of the NFLPA game (Texas vs. The Nation) Roberto Davis recorded two sacks in the contest, interesting enough he knew only one day in advance to getting the invite to play in the game. Chimdi Chekwa | Drawing Strong Interest

The combine and pro days are over. Working out has become a regular routine. Now it’s simply time to wait. With only being a week away from the NFL draft and Chimdi Chekwa’s life changing in a big way, he’s just ready “to head home to Florida and watch the draft with my family.” After suffering a wrist injury at the Sugar Bowl in January, Chekwa has been on a non-stop campaign of rehab, workouts, and interviews to prove to those at the next level he’s a viable pick in the draft.

Carolina Panthers (2-14): QB Cam Newton, Auburn: No one can argue the Panthers are in need of franchise quarterback, and it appears they are smitten with the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner out of Auburn.
