Taiwan Jones | Set To Workout April 14th

Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones will hold a highly anticipated pro day workout on Thursday, April 14th. One of the more intriguing prospects in the draft, Jones is a small school mystery with big play capability.

The 6-foot, 195-pound speedster averaged a remarkable 7.7 yards per carry for his Eagles career and flashed the break-away speed that many believe will make him a home run threat at the next level. However, there are many question marks surrounding the durability of the California native.

While some will question his inferior level of play at the FCS level, the real concern with Jones surrounds his medical records. A broken left foot late in December prevented him from working out at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was also limited earlier in the season by an abdominal contusion that forced him to sit out a game.

Team Needs: Green Bay Packers

2011 NFL Draft–

  • OL – The Packers’ offensive line improved in the 2010 season by giving up 25% fewer sacks than the previous year, when the allowed a league worst 51 sacks. If they want to have a chance to repeat as Super Bowl champs next season, the key will be keeping Aaron Rodgers on the playing field. Opposing teams averaged 115 rushing yards per game this past season. With Cullen Jenkins becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Green Bay may look to the talented stock of defensive ends in the upcoming draft.
  • WR – It is surprising to realize that 2010 was Donald

Da’Quan Bowers | Re-Check of Knee Not Good

Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers has received a less-than-positive medical re-check following his visit to Indianapolis, according to several NFL sources.

His surgically repaired right knee evidently shows signs not only of possible arthritis, but also some instability which might lead to future surgeries and the need to rest him during practices and some team doctors can read this medical update as a sign that Bowers could have a shorter-than-normal NFL career.

Bowers right knee has been an issue in the past as he missed three games in 2009 with a sprained right knee and there is the possibility that any disparity between the strength and overall stability when comparing his left and right knee could be drawn back to this original injury.

In his defense, Bowers has just started to be full-go across the board with his training,
