Quarterback Chad Henne had little protection in the passing game, the running game was atrocious and the offense as a whole was downright putrid. (1-10) Tyson Alualu, DT, California: While many questioned taking the Honolulu native with a top-10 pick, Jacksonville GM Gene Smith got the last laugh as his prized selection came through with flying colors. Alualu’s persistence in fighting through blocks was a key component in helping the rookie collapse the pocket…even against double teams. The controversial first-round pick was also very adept at reading his pre-snap keys. In addition, the lineman’s versatility in playing the three, five or even zero technique was a big plus. His ability to disengage from blockers still needs to improve. Grade: A-
