The atmosphere for the 65,168 at Heinz Field couldn’t have been any better; temperatures in the mid-sixties with the sun warmly shining down on one of the most historic rivals in all of sport—the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The vibe outside the stadium was electric before the kickoff. “I’ve heard about it but don’t believe it,” was one Steelers fan’s take on the rivalry on the eve of Ben Roethlisberger’s return from a four-game suspension.
“You’ve got to tip your hat to Cleveland,” said Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin after the Browns defense held his team to just seven first half points.
