Interested in transferring to an NCAA Division II football program, former Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins has visited North Alabama but has not yet decided to transfer here, according to sources close to Jenkins and UNA, the Times Daily of Alabama reports.
Several internet reports surfaced yesterday that had made it appear Jenkins had filed his transfer papers to enroll at North Alabama, which has been known to take on players who are in need of an image rehab in the past.
When contacted by the NFL Draft Bible on Thursday, North Alabama officials were unable to confirm the reports but it does seem it is one of the options Jenkins is seriously contemplating.
An official announcement on Jenkins’ future is expected to come within a week.
