Often times small school prospects tend to fall through the cracks during the NFL Draft evaluation process due to the lack of exposure during their career and limited platform to perform in front of NFL types.
Washburn (KS) wide receiver Joseph Hastings had the opportunity to work out at the Kansas State pro day on March 15th and turned a few heads. The 5’11 ½, 185-pound wide out ran in the 4.4-range, flashing the speed that enabled him to average nearly 18 yards per catch and accumulating over 1,500 yards.
Following the workout, Hastings has received interest from the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks and conducted a private workout for the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week. Three other teams have since called the coaches at the school to inquire about the Kansas native but we have been unable to confirm who
