With the USC football program on probation and ineligible for postseason play yet again next season, the NFL Draft Bible has learned that Trojans defensive tackle Jurell Casey is seriously contemplating entering the 2011 NFL Draft.
A key cog for the USC defense, Casey has tried to avoid the speculation that he could be bolting to the pros. “My main focus is the last two games we’ve got coming up,” Casey said. “When it’s over, I’ll sit down with my parents and the coaches and see what’s the best situation for me.”
The 6’1, 295-pound Casey leads the Trojans with 10 tackles for a loss, to go along with 4.5 sacks this season. He is currently ranked as the No. 8 overall defensive tackle on the NFL Draft Bible big board, which includes draft eligible underclassmen.
