The third season is important for offensive linemen. Some are expected to make the transition from an underclassman with potential that played well, into an upperclassman that is expected to dominate and set the pace for the whole unit. Those who have truly dedicated themselves in the weight room begin to physically separate themselves from other players. Some build up battle scars, dent up their helmets, get more comfortable on the field and begin to look like NFL ready players or guys that Keith Jackson would call “A Big Ugly” or “One Tough Customer.”
