Here’s a look at the top sophomore defensive tackle prospects entering the 2010 season.
1. Jerel Worthy, Michigan State – The freshman All-American was a true force for the Spartan defense along the line of scrimmage from his defensive tackle position. Worthy took a red-shirt in 2008, his first season in East Lansing, but it was worth the wait as he put up impressive numbers for the Big Ten school last year. His nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks were both second on Michigan State to linebacker Greg Jones. Right now the strength of his game is his agility. Worthy is explosive and changes directions very well for an interior lineman, which allows him to be a penetrating force in the trenches. He could be that rare impact pass
