Scout’s Notebook: Wisconsin Michigan State 10/02/10

Greg Jones and the Michigan State defense proved they are one of the best in the Big Ten Saturday as they held Wisconsin’s offense under 300 total yards for the day. Jones was all over the field against the Badgers, leading his team with eight tackles on the day, three of which were for a loss. His play inspired the Spartan defense to make big stops throughout the game. Wisconsin’s offense converted just 3 of 11 third downs, something senior Spartan linebacker Eric Gordon notes. “We call it our ‘money down.’ We stayed focused every time we stepped on the field today and made plays. I was really proud of our team for that.”
