According to several sources the NFLPA has spoken to 17 top prospects for the upcoming 2011 NFL Draft in an effort to have them boycott attending the NFL Draft live in New York City and possibly being used on the NFL Network in any capacity, including interview time. There is a thought process that the NFLPA may look to sell the interview/public appearances by those top prospects to a competing television network such as ESPN or Fox Sports in order to keep the NFL Network from gathering the usual post-draft pick information or fan viewership/ratings.
