Tavarres King, from the University of Georgia is one of those players who, though consistently improving with the passage of time, has oftentimes been overlooked due to the shadow cast by the presence of a star athlete at his same position in this case, University of Georgia standout wide receiver A.J. Green. Expect that to change dramatically in 2011, however, as Green has departed for greener pastures in the NFL (drafted by Bengals as No. 4 pick of the first round in this year’s draft) and King has been slated as the heir-apparent in a wide receiver corps that should only become more dangerous as quarterback Aaron Murray continues to come into his own.
King earned Newcomer of the Year for the Bulldogs as a red-shirt freshman in 2009, appearing in 12 games with nine starts and finishing the season with 18 receptions
