NFL: 2010 Minicamp Dates Announced

Following are the rookie and veteran minicamp dates for 2010, as well as the previously announced organized team activity (OTA) dates.

Clubs are permitted to hold a rookie minicamp on one of the first two weekends after the NFL Draft and conduct one mandatory minicamp for veteran players.  Clubs with new head coaches, however, are permitted to conduct two additional voluntary minicamps for veteran players.  There is no restriction on the number of minicamps a club may hold for rookie players.

2011 Mock Draft

It’s never too early to look ahead…

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Ryan Mallett, QB, Junior, Arkansas*
Expect a completely new regime, hence a new franchise quarterback and David Garrard would be a good mentor.

2. Buffalo Bills- Jake Locker, QB, Senior, Washington
Buffalo has one of, if not the most barren quarterback situation in the NFL and Chan Gailey likes them mobile.

3. Tampa Bay Bucs- Robert Quinn, DE, Junior, North Carolina*
If a procedure Quinn underwent in high school, which required brain surgery is not a concern, this Tar Heel is the elite edge rusher for the 2011 draft.

4. Chicago Bears- A.J. Green, WR, Junior, Georgia*
Jay Cutler needs a scheme busting wide receiver in the worst way and Green’s skill-set is the most complimentary.

5. St. Louis Rams- Patrick Peterson, CB, Junior, LSU*
Peterson was better as a sophomore last year, than first round pick

RB Jonathan Dwyer, Pittsburgh Steelers (6-188): Looking to get back to Steelers football, the proud franchise adds a 230-pound bruiser from Georgia Tech.

WR Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys (1-24): How ‘bout them Cowboys!?  Jerry Jones pounced on top talent, who our gut tells us won’t bust.

WR Carlton Mitchell,
